1. Training Colleges
There are 21 Training College (4 Govt. and 17 Private College) The Institution under the public sector are under the direct Administrative Control of the Department.
2. Music College
There are 3 Music Colleges in the state at Thiruvananthapuram, Tripunithura and Palakkad with student’s strength of about 814 (Thiruvananthapuram 172, Tripunithura 472 and Palakkad 170) The major courses offered are Natana Booshanam, Gana Bhooshanam, Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kathakaliesham, Kathakali Sangeetham, Diploma in Fine Arts etc.
3. Physical Education Colleges
Two years higher certificate course in physical Education is offered in the Physical Education College, Kozhicode.
