Merit Scholarship(NMS) |
National Merit Scholarships scheme is being implemented
since 1961-62. The objective of this scheme is to
provide scholarship for Post Metric studies to the
brilliant but poor students, so that they can pursue
their studies in spite of their poverty

State
Merit Scholarships(SMS) |
Scholarship under this scheme is available for studies
in Kerala State only. This will be given for various
recognised full time Arts & Science courses of
study after matriculation. The awards under this scheme
will be made to those who have passed the following
Examination1.SSLC2.+2/equalent course3.BA/Bsc/BCom.

Merit Scholarships(DMS) |
District Merit Scholarship is awarded to the first
15 rank holders in the SSLC examination in the state
and the next 5 rank holders in each district. District
Merit Scholarship is also awarded to 3 students who
secure the highest marks in science subjects in each
district and 2 students who secure highest marks in
non- science subjects in each district in the Pre
Degree/ equalent examination of April/ May District
Merit Scholarship is also awarded to one student in
science subjects and non science subjects in each
district for Degree Examination of April/ MayNote:-

Merit
Scholarship to the Children of School Teachers(MSCST) |
Merit
Scholarship to the Children of School Teachers is
the scholarship, which allowed for the Children of
Primary and Secondary school Teachers. The scholarship
is given on merit cum means criteria The total number
of scholarships is 41, out of these 38 scholarships
are given to the children who passed the SSLC examination.
The remaining 3 is given to the children who passed
the +2/ other Post matric examinations.

Hindi
Scholarship |
The main object of this scholarship is to encourage
the study of Hindi in Non Hindi Speaking States. This
scholarship will be given from class XI to Ph. D level
for recognised fulltime courses of education for study
of Hindi as one of the subject on the basis of the
result of previous examination conducted by a board
of education or a University or a Voluntary Hindi
Organisation.

This
scholarship is intended to those who have passed the
following examinations with Sanskrit as one of their
subjects and who are pursuing their studies in Sanskrit
in the Sanskrit Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Pattambi,
Pavaratty and in Sree Sankaracharya University of
Sanskrit only

Nadar Girls Scholarship in Colleges(MNS) |
This scholarship was offered only to Muslim Nadar
girls student up to 2006. From 2006 onwards it is
offered to all Girl Students, whose annual parental
income should not exceed Rs 18000/-
Value of Scholarship is Rs 125/- pa

MPhil/Ph D in Jawaharlal Nehru University , New Delhi.
On the basis of the recommendation of the Jawaharlal
Nehru University. The tenure of scholarship is 4 years
and the scholarship amount is Rs 65600/-
